Mi nombre es Martín Jiménez, tengo 25 años y vivo en Santiago de Chile. Estudié Ingeniería en Diseño e Ingeniería Comercial en la Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, además hice un postgrado en Innovación y Diseño durante un año.

My name is Martín Jiménez, I am 25 and I live in Santiago de Chile. I studied Design Engineering and Business Engineering at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and completed a one-year postgraduate programme in Innovation and Design.

Desde muy pequeño he estado rodeado de influencias artísticas y una fuerte conexión con la naturaleza. Crecí en Santiago de Chile junto a mis 5 hermanos, de los cuales he aprendido mucho sobre diferentes disciplinas. Me crié entre montañas, mascotas y plantas, influencia directa a mi profundo sentimiento por la naturaleza que se refleja en mis proyectos actuales.

From a very young age I have been surrounded by artistic influences and a strong connection with nature. I grew up in Santiago de Chile alongside my 5 siblings, from whom I have learned a great deal across many disciplines. I was raised among mountains, pets and plants — a direct influence on the deep feeling for nature that shows in my current projects.

Mi visión artística se traduce mediante herramientas de fabricación digital, especialmente la impresión 3D, en piezas que habitan el campo del arte y el diseño paramétrico.

My artistic vision is translated through digital fabrication tools, especially 3D printing, into pieces that inhabit the field of parametric art and design.

Actualmente, estoy en búsqueda de proyectos de mayor escala, considerando utilizar las herramientas del diseño paramétrico para disciplinas como la arquitectura, el diseño de espacios, ingeniería, ciencias, etc.

I am currently looking for larger-scale projects, considering the use of parametric design tools for disciplines such as architecture, space design, engineering, science, and more.
