Fenómenos naturales

Natural phenomena
translated into matter.

His work explores the relationship between matter, information, behaviour and form: ripples crossing a surface, frequencies ordering a plane, structures growing toward light.

The work begins by observing a behaviour —ripples crossing water, the geometry a frequency orders across a surface, the way a branch reaches for light— and translates it into a system that can be computed, adjusted and built. Each piece fixes one instant of that system in matter.

Herramientas y materiaTools and matter

My artistic vision is translated through digital fabrication tools, especially 3D printing. Computation is not the subject of the work: it is the instrument that carries an invisible system into wood, copper, polymer or paper.

I studied Design Engineering and Business Engineering at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and completed a one-year postgraduate programme in Innovation and Design.

OrigenOrigin

From a very young age I have been surrounded by artistic influences and a strong connection with nature. I grew up in Santiago de Chile alongside my 5 siblings, from whom I have learned a great deal across many disciplines. I was raised among mountains, pets and plants — a direct influence on the deep feeling for nature that shows in my current projects.

EscalaScale

I am currently seeking larger-scale projects, taking these tools toward disciplines such as space design, engineering and science.

“I will never stop creating. I love making things and everything it involves — researching, drawing, prototyping, learning, improving, enjoying and finally sharing my work.”
